AC Milan boss Stefano Ploli believes Bologna (Match betting – Milan 1/3, Draw 19/5, Bologna 9/1) will provide tough opposition for his side, despite the big difference in their league standings.
Milan are currently top of the Serie A table by virtue of the head-to-head record against Napoli and could stretch their gap to three points with victory at the San Siro.
The battle for Lo Scudetto (Outright – Milan 15/8, Inter 13/10, Napoli 11/4) is looking like a three-horse race with Internazionale three points behind Milan and Napoli.
Milan are currently unbeaten in eight matches and have won each of their last three as they seek a first title since 2011.
They will be in an expectant mood against a Bologna side who are 13th having failed to win any of their last four, though Pioli is still wary of the challenge.
“I expect Bologna to be intense and aggressive, and for them to come out and play. We’ll need to be motivated and play with quality; we need a big performance,” he said.

Elsewhere in Serie A, Genoa will look to jump out of the relegation zone as they travel to tenth-place Hellas Verona (Match betting – Verona 19/20, Draw 23/10, Genoa 16/5).
Genoa earned just their second win of the season before the international break by beating Torino 1-0 and another one would see them climb out of the bottom three for the first time since November.
In La Liga, Real Sociedad face mid-table Espanyol (Match betting – Sociedad 4/7, Draw 3/1, Espanyol 5/1) at home looking to strengthen their top-six credentials.
A win would take them six points clear of Villarreal in seventh place.
