Mark Allen insists he is laser focused on enjoying a strong week at the Turkish Masters as he looks to secure his spot at the Tour Championship.
The world number 11 gets his Turkish Masters campaign underway on Wednesday when he takes on Jak Jones in Antalya (Match betting – Jak Jones 13/5, Mark Allen 2/7).
Many players have taken their family to the popular holiday destination to enjoy an early summer break, however, Allen has his eyes on the prize.
A good run at the inaugural Turkish Masters will secure Allen’s spot at the prestigious Tour Championship next month.
Just the top eight on the one-year prize money list are set to earn a berth at the Tour Championship and Allen currently sits sixth with two events to play.

“Holidays can wait until the summer when the season’s finished,” Allen said. “Qualifying for the Tour Championship is important and something I’m looking to do.
“It’s a great event and a brilliant tune up for the World Championship which is just around the corner now.
“It’s the only tournament other than the worlds where you play multi-session matches right from the start so it’s great preparation for the Crucible.
“It’s a big tournament and one you really want to be involved in.”
Ronnie O’Sullivan, Neil Robertson and reigning world champion Mark Selby all opted to skip the competition, however, there are some big names still involved.
John Higgins features later on Monday against Dylan Emery (Match betting – John Higgins 1/16, Dylan Emery 15/2), while Judd Trump is involved on Tuesday against Michael Georgiou (Match betting – Judd Trump 1/16, Michael Georgiou 15/2).
