UK Horse Racing Odds: Sunday 27th February

After another action-packed Saturday of racing, punters can look forward to three cards on Sunday afternoon, with 23 races planned across meetings at Fontwell, Hereford and Naas.

Hereford’s eight-race card starts proceedings on Sunday, with the going good to soft (soft in places).

A maiden hurdle contest gets the meeting underway at 13:40, while the card is due to come to a close at 17:10.

Betfred’s “Free Bet if 2nd” promotion is available in the Cazoo Novices’ Handicap Hurdle at 16:40, with punters able to earn a free bet up to £10, should their selection finish as the runner-up.

Evan Williams’ Walkinthewoods (7/2) finished second at Ffos Las earlier this month, and that form looks like it could give him a good chance of victory on Sunday.

Fontwell’s card soon follows, with the going soft at the track in West Sussex. Sunday’s meeting is scheduled to start at 13:50, while the last contest is set to get underway at 16:50.

Ian Williams’ Mount South (5/4) appears to be the one to beat after a third-place finish on debut, and he will hope to have enough class to overcome Halondo (10/3), who is one of only six runners with previous track experience.

Naas’ card is scheduled to start at 14:00, with a seven-race card running through until 17:30.

There are five places up for grabs in a handicap hurdle contest at 17:00, the penultimate race on the card, with Francis Casey’s Palace Rock seemingly the one to beat as it heads the betting at 10/3.
