Today’s Horse Racing Odds: Saturday 12th February

UK and Irish racing fans have six cards to explore on Saturday with action at Uttoxeter, Warwick, Naas, Newbury, Lingfield and Wolverhampton.

They head over the jumps at Uttoxeter for eight races between 12:50 and 16:53 and Betfred have two offers on this card, with the Free Bet if 2nd and Extra Place Race both available.

In the former at 13:58, the Olly Murphy-trained Notre Pari is back over hurdles having struggled with the fences and at 4/1, could well take his first win since February 2020.

Meanwhile, in the latter at 16:53, 7/2 Mickyh went close at Chepstow last time out and is a recent winner having scored at Plumpton on his penultimate start.

Onto Warwick where they have seven contests from 13:00 to 16:25 and the 14:40 features the Extra Place Race and Ben Pauling’s Fine Casting is 15/8 to make it a hat-trick, but beware the local heroes, the Skeltons, who team up with 4/1 Horizon D’Ainay.

The next stop is the sole Irish meeting of Saturday with Naas hosting eight races from 13:05 to 17:00 and the Extra Place Race is in the 15:25.

Cheltenham Festival Betting Odds

Whiskey Lullaby, 11/2, got off the mark for Willie Mullins at Punchestown last month and this drop back to hurdles from fences may suite, but another last time out winner 9/2 Uncle Gerhard is unlikely to give up easily.

Onto Newbury and their seven races run between 13:15 and 16:45. The closer carries the Extra Place Race but extra attention goes to the Super Extra Place Race, the Betfair Hurdle at 15:35.

After finishing second in the Tolworth Hurdle, Jetoile is 11/1 to score here, but it is Boxing Day Kempton winner Broomfield Burg who leads the betting at 4/1.

In the closing afternoon meeting, there are six races at Lingfield from 13:45 to 16:37 and the Extra Place Race is involved in the 14:20. Look for Cherish who is an improving sort and at 8/1, the 6f trip could be perfect.

Finally into the evening and there are seven races on the all-weather at Wolverhampton between 17:15 and 20:15.

The Free Bet if 2nd is on the opener in this card and Sparkle In His Eye is 11/4 to make it a hat-trick under top amateur Becky Smith, although 4/1 No Diggity carries real threat after winning over a mile at Kempton at the end of January.
