Hansen excited by Warriors clash

Former Wigan star Harrison Hansen says he’s looking forward to seeing his Toulouse side go toe-to-toe with the Warriors in the Betfred Super League on Saturday (Toulouse 11/1, Tie 28/1, Wigan 1/22 – Match Betting).

The French outfit are in the midst of their first ever season in Super League and are still seeking their first win of the competition heading into round four.

A pre-season injury means Hansen is awaiting a return to action and won’t be able to take the field against his former team at the Stade Ernest-Wallon this weekend.

However, the 36-year-old is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and is excited to see his current side take on the title contenders in the south of France.

“It’s always frustrating (the injury), but sometimes it is good because you get a perspective from the stands and see things you might otherwise miss. I’m itching to get back out there,” Hansen told Wigan Today.

“I’m looking forward to having the team over because there are still people there from my time. Tommy, Sam Powell, Lockers (Sean O’Loughlin).

“It’ll be a great game to watch, and I’m gutted that I’m not playing.”

Wigan have a perfect winning record ahead of their trip across The Channel, having beaten Hull KR, Leeds Rhinos and the Huddersfield Giants in their first three rounds.

It has been a tough start to the season for Toulouse (Evs +24 Handicap) as they try and acclimatise to the standards of the Betfred Super League.

Toulouse have already conceded 112 points at an average of just over 37 points per-game in their first three rounds.
