Lyon manager Peter Bosz admits Porto (Match betting – Porto 10/11, draw 12/5, Lyon 11/4) “cannot be compared to a French” club and says he will tweak his setup for their Europa League last 16 tie on Wednesday evening.
The Ligue 1 outfit travel to the Estadio do Dragao as they try to secure a positive result in the first leg of the competition before hosting their counterparts next week.
Lyon were excellent in the group stage of the competition, winning five from six matches to finish top of the table.
A 1-1 draw against Rangers in the final matchday was the only slight blot in the copybook but Les Gones have looked very solid in this competition thus far.
They take on a Porto side who defeated Lazio over two legs in the knockout round play off after finishing third in their Champions League group.
Domestically though, it been a near-perfect season for Sérgio Conceição’s side, who are unbeaten in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.

Speaking ahead of the first leg, Bosz was full of respect for Wednesday’s opponents and has suggested he may have to alter his plans to counteract Porto’s style.
“They don’t have the same players and don’t have the same style because they don’t play in the same league,” he said.
“Our tactics have to be adapted to our game but we also have to modify them according to the opponent and we will change that against Porto.”
Wednesday’s other Europa League game sees Real Betis host Eintracht Frankfurt (Match betting – Real Betis 10/11, draw 12/5, Frankfurt 11/4) as both sides aim to reach the quarter-finals.
Betis finished second in their Europa League group and had to battle past Zenit St Petersburg in the play off round, while Frankfurt came top of their group and thus avoided an extra pair of games.
Both sides have been in shaky form recently with the pair suffering three defeats in their last five league games.
