Castleford Tigers head coach Lee Radford is having to contend with injury at this very early stage of the season as the West Yorkshire outfit prepare to face Warrington on Thursday night (Warrington 3/10, Draw 22/1, Castleford 11/4 – Match Betting).
Nathan Massey and Adam Milner are both out on the sidelines, while the club’s medical team and doctors are still assessing a neck injury to Danny Richardson.
Richardson suffered the injury during Castleford’s 26-16 opening round defeat in the Betfred Super League at the hands of Salford Red Devils on Friday night.
Radford has admitted he’s still not certain on the extent of the injury and when he will be able to welcome Richardson back into the thick of the action.
“He (Richardson) is still with the doctors, still trying to find out a little bit more and seeing where he’s at. It’s not looking great,” Radford told BBC Radio Leeds.
“Until we speak to the specialist it’s a little bit up in the air.”

Radford will be hoping his side can cause an upset across the Pennines when they travel to the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday night.
Castleford go up against former boss Daryl Powell who spent eight years with the Tigers before moving on to Warrington at the end of last season.
The Wire (7/2 Grand Final Winner) made a winning start to the new Betfred Super League season thanks to a thrilling 22-20 win over Leeds Rhinos (8/1 Grand Final Winner) at Headingley.
Preparing to face his former side, Powell has been keen to play down the hype surrounding the showdown.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for everything that Castleford stands for as a club, but it’s one game in a long season and I think they’d say exactly the same,” Powell said.
