Allegri expects tricky Turin derby

Massimiliano Allegri

Juventus head coach Max Allegri is predicting Torino (Match betting – Juventus 8/13, Draw 11/4, Torino 5/1) will provide stiff opposition against his side at the Allianz Stadium on Friday evening.

The Old Lady are seeking to consolidate their top-four spot with victory against their local rivals and are currently in the middle of an 11-match unbeaten run.

They have drawn two of their last three games but those draws came away from home against AC Milan and Atalanta.

Torino arrive into the game tenth in the table, but are winless in their last three matches.

However, Allegri is convinced they will be more determined to succeed as he feels their last two losses were undeserved.

“Torino always play with the heart and they’ll make it tough for us tomorrow. What’s more, they are coming off the back of two undeserved defeats, so they’ll be even more determined.”

In the Bundesliga, third-place Bayer Leverkusen could close the gap to the top two with a win at Mainz (Match betting – Mainz 11/5, Draw 13/5, Bayer Leverkusen 23/20).

They have won each of their last four matches and travel to a Mainz side whose form has been inconsistent of late, picking up two wins, two losses, and a draw from their last five matches.

In La Liga, Rayo Vallecano will be hoping to get back to form as they face a trip to Elche (Match betting – Elche 21/10, Draw 15/8, Rayo Vallecano 13/8).

Earlier this season, Rayo were one of the surprise packages in the division and looked like they had an outside chance of European qualification, but they have picked up only one point from their last five games.

Elche, on the other hand, have picked up 11 points from their previous six games and are now 14th in the table.

Finally, defending Ligue 1 champions Lille could climb from tenth to fifth if they beat Metz (Match betting – Lille 8/15, Draw 3/1, Metz 6/1), who could move out of the bottom three with victory.
